Who we are?

Hey, I am Fabio Mariano, the founder of South Kayaks. I come from Sagres in Vila do Bispo municipality located at “the end of the world” in south-western part of Algarve in Portugal. I inherited the passion for the ocean from my father who is a professional fisherman. Since I was a kid, I have had a very strong connection with the sea. I participated in many national competitions in bodyboard and managed to become champion of Portugal. Besides I am a professional fisherman and do spearfishing. 

I created the company in order to share with you over 25 years of my ocean experience. My objective is to show you the best of Costa Vincentina in the Sagres area by kayak. With me you will embark on an unforgettable adventure closely discovering amazing natural rock formations and caves on the ocean.

Praia da Ingrina is a calm and less touristy but absolutely stunning, paradise-looking beach in the area of Vila do Bispo, Algarve.  You get there from Raposeira village passing by extensive fields and meadows.
 It is located in a small bay in between of Praia do Zavial on one side and Praia do Barranco on the other. The beach is shaped in the form of a seashell surrounded by rocks and pebbles. Its beautiful sand, calm water and fresh food served by a local restaurant attract entire families with kids and local population.

Praia da Ingrina is also a great place for water sport fans. Clear and transparent ocean reveals an amazing underwater paradise with rock formations and sea life.
