Hey, I am Fabio Mariano, the founder of South Kayaks. I come from Sagres in Vila do Bispo municipality located at “the end of the world” in south-western part of Algarve in Portugal. I inherited the passion for the ocean from my father who is a professional fisherman. Since I was a kid, I have had a very strong connection with the sea. I participated in many national competitions in bodyboard and managed to become champion of Portugal. Besides I am a professional fisherman and do spearfishing. 

I created the company in order to share with you over 25 years of my ocean experience. My objective is to show you the best of Costa Vincentina in the Sagres area by kayak. With me you will embark on an unforgettable adventure closely discovering amazing natural rock formations and caves on the ocean.

I try to do all tours following the principle of SLOW travel meaning enjoying the surroundings at slow, contemplating pace.
